Due to its unique geographical location, Yosu Port is gifted with a marine environment that is ideal for STS transfer operations. Presently,
crude oil STS is being performed in W anchorage and D-2 anchorage, respectively.
The company managed to relax limitations on the age of the vessel through close consultations with the port authority in 2015,
and, currently, it is in talks with the authority to get an approval for STS operation in D-1 anchorage that has an access to larger waters.
The company expects that transshipment cargo operation will be activated even more in Yosu Port
if the approval is granted, since it would enable the port to accommodate full-laden VLCC.
